The twin engine, wide-body Airbus A330, which went into service in 1994, is currently the third most delivered wide-body jet after the Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 and goes up against the Boeing 767 along with shorter versions of the Boeing 777 and the Boeing 787. The Airbus A330-200, which was launched in 1998, is a slightly shorter, longer ranged variant of the earlier Airbus A330-300.
