Originally designed and produced by Bombardier as the Bombardier C Series, the Airbus A220-300 is a narrow body, twin engine airliner manufactured by Airbus that went into service at the end of 2016 as a larger version of the initially introduced A220-100. The A220-300 is a modern, technologically advanced aircraft that was developed to fly 120-160 passengers five abreast up to 3,400 nautical miles in a quiet, comfortable cabin to routes that were either not practical due to logistics or simply not financially worthwhile for the airlines. Recognized by airlines for its efficiency and economical operating costs, the A200-300, which is nearly identical to the A220-100 variant in almost all respects, enabling airlines to cost effectively fly both versions while permitting pilots and flight crews to readily transition from one model to the other.
