The new Boeing 777X, which comprises the 777-8 and 777-9 variants, is not only the world’s largest twin engine jet airliner to date, but it is also unrivaled in its performance, technology, and efficiency. While the 777-8 seats 384 passengers with a range of 8,730 nm, the larger 777-9 accommodates 426 passengers with a 7,285 nm range.

Intended to be the successor to its predecessor, the Boeing 777-300ER, which entered service in 2004, the Boeing 777X has such a large wingspan that Boeing has engineered unique wingtips that fold upward so that the plane can taxi and use existing terminals and gates. In addition to the 777X’s new wings, its engines, which are the largest and most powerful ever manufactured for a commercial aircraft, are also deemed to be the quietest as well.
