Skymarks American A321 1/150 Stand Up 2Cancer

Skymarks

Comprising superior quality, substantial, solid injection molded plastic components with a simple snap-fit design that allows for easy assembly without the need for glue, this SkyMarks 1/150 Scale American Airlines Airbus A321 - with Registration N162AA - measures approximately 11-5/8-inches long with a 9-5/8-inch wingspan and comes complete with a Display Stand. An accurate, true-to-scale reproduction of the actual aircraft, the model is great for collectors and features authentic, highly detailed graphics and markings. A derivative of the Airbus A320 with a stretched fuselage, the Airbus A321, which went into service in 1994, is a narrow body, short to medium range, twin engine commercial jet that can be configured to typically carry 185 to 236 passengers. To give the Airbus A321 full-transcontinental range with maximum passenger capacity, Airbus began development of the next version of its A321 in 1995, the A321-200, that entered service in 1997 as a larger and heavier aircraft than the earlier A321 with minor structural strengthening modifications, higher thrust engines, and additional fuel tanks. The livery of this American Airlines "Stand Up To Cancer" Airbus A321 features 22,627 names of cancer survivors, patients and those who were lost to cancer. American has teamed up with Stand Up To Cancer® [SU2C], a charitable organization that was established in 2008 with the mission to raise the necessary funds required to speed up the pace of research needed to quickly get new cancer therapies to patients and hopefully save lives. To mark the inaugural flight of the freshly painted Stand Up To Cancer® aircraft, American flew a group of cancer survivors and caregivers from Los Angeles Airport (LAX) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) to give those families affected by cancer a memorable weekend at Universal Orlando Resort.
